Mathaka Hathak, roughly "Seven Memories", is a live concert promoted by RAJA TV and held at the town hall in Polgahawela, in the Kurunegala District. Shows in this mould travel out of Colombo to regional halls and lean on a nostalgia programme: familiar Sinhala songs performed by a full band to a seated local audience, at prices well below what the capital's venues charge.
