Yohani: Aadarei Live with Orchestra — Night 1
Yohani de Silva takes her catalogue off the laptop and hands it to a full orchestra for the first time. Night one of a two-night, strictly limited run at Musaeus College Auditorium, promoted by Outright Play.
Sri Lanka's biggest pop export puts her songbook in front of a live orchestra for the first time. Aadarei — Sinhala for "love" — is a roughly two-hour seated production built around string-led rearrangements of the tracks that carried Yohani from Colombo bedrooms to global playlists, sung across Sinhala, Hindi and English.
This is the first of only two nights, staged by promoter Outright Play with capacity deliberately kept small and seating allocated by ticket grade. Expect the familiar hits rebuilt rather than replayed, and quieter passages that the orchestral treatment makes room for.
