Business events in Colombo

Almost all of Sri Lanka's business calendar happens in Colombo, in two very different formats. The large annual conferences, summits and award nights take hotel ballrooms and convention halls, run a full day, and open early-bird registration months ahead — that pricing is real and the good ones do sell out. The other half is the weekday meetup: startup pitch nights, developer and design gatherings, industry mixers and investor evenings, hosted in co-working spaces and offices, usually free with an RSVP and finished by nine. The calendar goes quiet for the April new year and is densest from September to November.
