Nightlife events in Kurunegala

Kurunegala has a nightlife that most district towns do not, because it draws from the whole north-west. Hotel clubs, bars and function venues along the Colombo and Kandy roads run DJ nights, live bands and themed parties at weekends, with the crowd arriving late and from a wide radius. It is a town scene rather than a tourist one, which means entry is usually cheap or at the door and the calendar is built around weekends, paydays and the festive season. Poya days shut it down completely, so check the date first — that is the most common reason a listed night does not happen.
