Kandy Half Marathon 2026
A December road race through the hill capital, starting at Gatambe Sports Ground and taking in the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake and Peradeniya, with 21.1km, 10km, 5km and 2km fun run categories.
Singletree Events closes its running year in the hills, sending the field out from Gatambe Sports Ground on a route that takes in the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the shoreline of Kandy Lake and the approach to the Royal Botanic Gardens at Peradeniya. A December date brings cooler air than the coastal races, in a city already turning festive.
Four categories are on offer, from the timed 21.1km half marathon down to a 2km fun run, with 10km and 5km in between — enough range for serious club runners and for families walking it together.
