The Run For Sri Lanka series reaches the northern peninsula for the first time, and organiser Singletree Events is billing it as the first international road race staged in Jaffna. Start and finish sit at Mutturaweli Grounds, with a dawn gun that lets runners cover the course before the heat builds.
Entries span the full 21km half marathon alongside shorter 10km, 5km and 3km options, so club runners and first-timers share the same morning. Finishers collect a medal, and the weekend doubles as a reason to eat and wander around Jaffna town.
