Music events in Battaramulla

Music in Battaramulla means a ballroom or a lawn rather than a club. The lakeside hotel and banquet complexes on the Diyawanna take concerts, tribute nights, album launches and dinner-dance shows with a band — usually seated, usually priced per head with a meal included, and sold by the venue or the organiser directly rather than through a general ticketing platform. Corporate year-end shows fill much of December. The public side is smaller and free: open-air performances and community concerts at the riverside park, and school and temple music evenings around the Kotte belt. Parking and the evening traffic are the real planning problems.
