Loco Motif: The Encore

Loco Motif heads back to the south coast for The Encore, a three-band night at The Doctor's House in Matara. The pitch from the organisers is nostalgia rather than novelty: well-known songs, a long run of them, and a room that stays busy after the last one.

Jukebox tops the bill, with The Rebels and The Funk Bots filling out the evening, so the night leans on familiar covers played back to back rather than original material. The venue is a laid-back Matara guest house and bar rather than a formal auditorium, so this is an informal, largely standing crowd.
