Rangira Maa — රන් ගිර මා

More than half a century into his career, musician Mahinda Bandara stages his first concert, Rangira Maa. Its subtitle, “Ma Nogayu Mage Gee” (“my songs I did not sing”), points to the programme: his own compositions, performed by other singers.

Indrajith Mirihana handles music direction, with 30 instrumentalists backing the vocalists. The singers include Amarasiri Peiris, Athula Adikari, Samitha Mudunkotuwa, Nirosha Virajini, Deepika Priyadarshani, Kasun Kalhara, Indrachapa Liyanage and Chandralekha Perera, among others.

The concert is at the BMICH in Colombo on Sunday 13 December 2026 at 7pm. Eight price levels are on sale: reserved ODC seats at Rs 12,500, Rs 10,000, Rs 7,500, Rs 6,000 and Rs 5,000, and reserved balcony seats at Rs 4,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000.
