Colombo International Book Fair 2026
Ten days of book buying and literary programming at the BMICH, with twelve halls, roughly 450 stalls and publishers from Sri Lanka and abroad, plus author talks, stage performances and children's workshops.
Sri Lanka's biggest annual gathering of readers takes over the BMICH for ten days. The Sri Lanka Book Publishers' Association fills twelve halls with around 450 stalls, where roughly 70 local imprints and more than 30 overseas publishers sell in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
Beyond browsing there is a daily programme: new titles are launched, writers take questions on stage, musicians and theatre groups perform, the Katapath Pawura corner gives poets an open mic, and children join painting, clay-modelling, drama and puppet workshops.
