Secret Jungle Party (August) — Hiriketiya
A weekly Friday-night party staged in the jungle behind Hiriketiya bay, with the exact location kept secret until the evening itself. Runs every Friday through August from 7pm on a single entrance ticket.
Every Friday through August the forest behind Hiriketiya bay is turned into an open-air dancefloor. Keeping the exact spot under wraps until the night itself is part of the draw — ticket holders make their way up from the bay and find a sound system rigged among the trees. The music sits in house territory, and the crowd is the usual Hiriketiya mix of surfers, long-stay travellers and Sri Lankan regulars.
Doors open at 7pm and the night runs long. If you are staying around Hiriketiya or Dikwella the walk is short; coming from further out, it is worth sorting a tuk-tuk home before you set off.
