WAYO YAMAYA (වායෝ යාමය)
Sri Lankan fusion band WAYO stage their Yamaya concert at the Musaeus College auditorium in Colombo, organised by the Kingswood Union Colombo Branch, with reserved floor seating and a cheaper balcony tier.
WAYO built their name on folding Sri Lankan folk melody and traditional percussion into contemporary band arrangements, and Yamaya is the concert they have been taking around the island under that banner. Previous editions have run at halls including the BMICH, so the format is a settled one: a full live band working through original material and reworked traditional songs.
This staging is at the Musaeus College auditorium in Colombo and is organised by the Kingswood Union Colombo Branch. The hall is entirely seated, with five reserved price bands on the main floor and a single lower-priced balcony tier for anyone content to sit further back.
