Dopermean
Dopermean Season 1 is a beachfront dance event at Shell Resort in Arugam Bay, Pottuvil, running from 3pm to midnight on 28 August, with 80s, 90s and house sets; tickets Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.

Dopermean bills it as Season 1, so it is a first outing under that name. Three strands of music are promised — pop from the eighties, chart material from the nineties, and house. Entry carries no age limit, and the organisers have framed the night as something families can attend together. Conservation is folded into the pricing as well: a cut of what each buyer pays is directed at work on elephant-human conflict in the surrounding area.
